S690 QL is a high yieldstructural steel grade produced in compliance with EN 10025:6:2004.The material is heats treated using the quench and temper process andhas good bending and welding properties. 

- The code “S” for steelgrade S690QL means structural steel.

- The code “Q” refers tothe delivery condition, in this case to quenched & Tempered.

- The code “ L” means thatthe average minimum values for impact energy have been definedat a temperature of -40°C.

Due to the materials highstrength nature, using S690QL will promote leaner designed structureswith increased payload capacity and energy efficiency.
