Product Description
JFE HITEN 1180
S1100QL & S1300QL are high yield steel with a minimum strength of 1100 &1300 MPa respectively. S1100QL according to EN10025-6 is a quenched and tempered steel and is relatively easy to bend and weld. It is a fully killed steel with a fine grain structure where all the nitrogen is bounded by binding agents. Both can be classed as “Ultra High Yield Structural Steel”. These new steels are used and specified in the heavy lifting Industry. This Industry has an ongoing requirement for stronger and lighter structural sections which are used in the manufacture of crane booms. Both S1100QL and S1300QL are perfect for this purpose.
